Above: The BCTV Studio Control Room, new, computer-based Broadcast Pix studio control room switcher. The new switcher is operated by either a touch-screen monitor or keyboard and mouse. Another unique feature is the "virtual monitor" set-up. Instead of using multiple, heat-generating individual monitors, the Broadcast Pix generates "virtual" monitors and displays them on BCTV's new 47" flat-panel wide-screen monitor.

Features include the ability to load pre-recorded segments (also known as "B-roll") onto the actual switcher for insertion during the taping of a program.
