BCTV, Branford Community Television, serves the scenic shoreline town of Branford, Connecticut. BCTV is a private non-profit enterprise, organized under state and federal communication regulations.
We provide or oversee local public access, governmental and educational programming on three channels for cable television subscribers in our community of 28,000 residents. In October, 2008, BCTV was added to the AT&T U-Verse lineup and is now available to all AT&T U-Verse subscribers throughout Connecticut. You can embark on a new exciting opportunity, learning valuable media skills, making meaningful contributions to your community, and providing different alternatives to commercial programming.
It is the intention of BCTV to provide independent residents of Branford, who use BCTV's equipment and studio facilities for educating, entertaining, and conveying information and opinions for the residents of Branford, with access to non-commercial television programs, production and supporting services.
BCTV operates to serve the public interest through the medium of telecommunications.
The purpose of BCTV is to protect and enhance the public's first amendment rights in Branford and provide freedom of expression and community communication.
